For the upcoming meeting Sat Mar 1, 2025 11am, our guest speaker is:
Celeste Rodriguez, Member of the California State Assembly, 43rd district
Below is a list of concerns we will identify to Celeste Rodriguez at the meeting. We will ask:
- If she can assist with guiding us and tasking an official point to taking head the task of installing another cell-tower on Oakridge's property. Then push legislation to upgrade cell towers in dense communities with battery backup systems with adjoining solar panels and a satellite links to extend internet services when the is manually shut down for safety purposes or whether it goes down due to high winds or some other major event?
- If she can bridge the multi-jurisdictional gap when sending LAFD and LAPD or Sherriff Department with them when there is a call about a campfire or after hours parking by Homeless, Homeless Encampments, RV parking along Foothill Blvd and around our hillside communities?
- Can you help by tasking city personnel to routinely secure, lock, and repair all the entrance gates to the Stetson Ranch Park and other nearby parks and horse trail entrances?
- Can you have Street Maintenance pave Foothill Blvd on the north side of Glenoaks Blvd, install curbing, and Horse rails (without sidewalks = lesser cost) and have the DOT paint the bike lane with parking barriers consistent with the barriers on Foothill Blvd heading toward Roxford Blvd and the barriers on Foothill Blvd heading toward Yarnell St?
- If she could help to task Parking Enforcement to enforce the No-Parking zones along Foothill Blvd and on Glenoaks Blvd from Foothill Blvd up to the entrance of the Oakridge community? And if she could task the Department of Transportation (DOT) to paint the curbing around the entire No-Parking zone including the teardrop turnaround area on Glenoaks Blvd from the 210 underpass leading up to the entrance of the Oakridge community?
