PAST EVENTS:
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our December 6th General Membership Meeting, where we shared and celebrated this year’s accomplishments and reflected on all we’ve achieved together.
As we reflect on the past year, 2025 began with unexpected fire evacuations that shook our community. But in true Oakridge fashion, we emerged stronger and more prepared. ORA moved quickly in taking action—collaborating with management and local officials to strengthen safety protocols and provide services such as fire-alarm replacements, air purifiers, duct repairs, the clearing of homeless RV encampments on Foothill Blvd., landscaping improvements, maintenance support, and much more.
We also had four major General Membership Meetings featuring an incredible slate of guest speakers. Although, we would like to see you at our meetings, you can find highlights from each meeting on the left side of our home page at the ORAOakridge.com website.
We also congratulate our new and returning Board Members for 2026: President Wesley Maynez; Vice President William Castillo; Secretary Patricia Chitjian; and newly elected Treasurer Jacqueline Sidman. Kurt Doerr will continue serving the board as a Special Technical Advisor Chair—supporting our website, Zoom meetings, and a variety of administrative projects throughout the year.
We’re grateful to everyone who supported us. We would like to see more of you attending meetings, offering ideas, and working together. Let’s continue and celebrate what we’ve accomplished and carry that momentum forward to make 2026 another outstanding year for Oakridge.
Here’s to you, and to 2026!
- Sandra Jacobo, New Manager of Oakridge
- Garrett Peyton, LAPD Captain III, Mission Hills Division
- Mark Guardado, LAPD Captain I, Mission Hills Division
- Keith Crawford, Senior Lead Officer, Eastern Sylmar
- Paul Hawkins, Synergy Representative
